The Friday Fail: LinkedIncompetence

One of the worst LinkedIn recommendations of seen, written for a guy who deserves better than this:

One sentence? That’s it? Why not just say ‘Tom is perfectly adequate,” or “Tom doesn’t completely suck”?

If you’re going to take the time to write a recommendation, do it right. Your connections will judge you by what you say about others as much as what they say about you, so put as much time into it as you’d want someone to spend on your recommendation. And that probably means at least a few sentences.
